Learning through fun activities is always encouraged. Watching Sesame Street and other PBS educational programming is appropriate. Reading together, coloring, and creating art projects are wonderful ways to develop fine motor skills and have fun!
The following are fun and educational websites to assist you in working with your children:
Google Classroom: Should we transition to remote learning, the Nursery/Pre-K teachers will be posting content on our google classroom. You can access the classroom by visiting https://classroom.google.com/ and login using your CHILD'S St. Thomas email and password.
Each week we will focus on a specific number and letter. We will read stories, sing songs, and create art projects to learn these letter and number concepts. We will also practice counting and writing them. Please reinforce these concepts at home.
Please have your child wear sneakers for his/her safety!
The children will play, socialize, and learn to take turns in our play centers. Our tabletop activities will help them with their fine motor skills. Please remind them to hold their crayons/markers the "school way" to help develop good writing habits. We will practice our scissor cutting skills by using special scissors to cut paper and play dough.
We will learn about Jesus and his great love for us through our Religion program, saying our prayers, and letting our "heart light" shine by being kind to one another.
