Remote Learning

  • March 16, 2020

    Dear STA Community,
St. Thomas the Apostle School community is prepared for remote learning through the Google Classroom environment.  The dedication and flexibility shown by our faculty and staff are nothing short of incredible. Many classes have already moved to Google Classroom instruction.  By Monday, March 23rd, all classes from Nursery through Grade 8 will be active on Google Classroom. If your family is in need of a Google Chromebook for use while school is closed, we will be open tomorrow from 9am-11am for parents/guardians to pick up devices.  This applies to all students from Nursery through Grade 8.

Instructions for accessing Google Classroom have been sent home and are also available on our homepage at www.stthomasschool.net.  If your family is in need of a Google Chromebook for use while school is closed, we will be open tomorrow, 3/17/2020, from 9am-11am for parents/guardians to pick up devices.

While anxiety levels are understandably high at this time, I want to assure our families that remote instruction will continue effectively and efficiently for as long as necessary.  Just today, faculty and staff have demonstrated amazing creativity with innovative and creative methods of engaging and inspiring their students.  I will stay in touch as updates are made available to me.  As always, let us keep in prayer all those affected by the COVID-19 virus and all health-care workers on the front line of protecting us all.
    Peace,
    Dr. Valerie Serpe
